The Cooper name has a proud and storied hertigae that goes back more than 100 years to 1914, when brothers-in-law John F. Scahefer and Claude E. Hart purchased M and M Manufacturing Company in Akron, producing patches, tire cement and tire repair kits. A year later, Schaefer and Hart purchased The Giant Tire & Rubber Company of Akron, a tire rebuilding business, and two years later moved the business to Findlay, Ohio. The firm changed its name to Cooper Tire & Rubber Company in 1946.

Working as the sole agent for Cooper Tires in Korea under the name of "Cooper Tire Korea", Duellco Corporation is supplying high quality U.S. made passenger car tires and 4X4/RV tires from summer tires to mud-terrain tires.

The diversity of pattern ranges we have exactly matched the market needs. Duellco Corporation is being one of the leading company to introduce the actual function of different patterns and its performances not only to retail agents but also end users.

The target of Cooper Tire and Duellco Corporation in Korea was not to be the top seller in quantity, but to build up a brand image that very few people knew about. Korea is considered one of the toughest market for tires as it has three of their own major brands(Hankook, Kumho and Nexen) with only 50 million population. The whole aim was to provide the exact product that the market needs even if the market was not large enough.

Through this work Cooper Tires is now one of the most satisfied tires in South Korea.
